As per the actor, by just the age of 21, he already signed 75 projects in his early stages in Bollywood. Govinda has mentioned that he has been drawn to the film industry rather than the other way around.

Govinda said on the podcast in Hindi, "I didn’t enter the film industry, in fact, it came to me. I was 21 and I had signed 75 films. I remember the great Dilip sahab came to me and told me, ‘Govinda, drop 25 of them.’

After he informed Dilip that he'd already spent all that money provided to him, the legendary actor replied to Govinda,"God will ensure that I earn the money back, but that I must return."

I don’t react to all this, I’m an actor, not a reactor,”he added.
