Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage in trouble? Manager confirms issues, family denies divorce rumours

After 37 years of marriage, rumours have circulated that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja are divorcing. Although neither of them has spoken publicly about the problem, the actor's manager has admitted that the couple is having marital problems as a result of remarks made by certain members of their family. This, however, has been denied by Krushna Abhishek, who is Govinda's nephew.

Separation notice and family's response

A few months ago, Sunita reportedly sent Govinda her separation notice, as reported in the ETimes. Government official Shashi Sinha addressed the matter, saying that there have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain family members, in an interview with the publication. Govinda is currently filming, and their office is being visited by artists. That's all there is to it and they are making an effort to fix it.

But Govinda chose to ignore the accusations and focus on his work instead, saying that he is in the process of starting his films.

Krushna Abhishek dismisses divorce rumours

Krushna Abhishek, Govinda's nephew, informed Screen that a divorce is not happening, despite the fact that rumours about their separation have been circulating. "Absolutely not," he firmly stated that they would never do this.

Arti Singh also refutes the speculation

In an interview with News18, Arti Singh—Govinda's niece—strongly denied the rumours and expressed a similar viewpoint. She apologises for the delay in getting back to them, as she is currently not in Mumbai. However, she informed the publication that this is not true. Their closeness is so strong that these are simply speculations. Their connection has become stronger and more affectionate over the years; therefore, a divorce seems impossible. The rumours are completely false, and she doesn't know where the information came from.

Arti added that false information regarding people's private lives should be avoided. Actually, rumours regarding her divorce had also circulated without cause. Such unfounded chatter causes unnecessary stress.

Living in separate houses for practical reasons

They live in separate houses, as Sunita Ahuja had previously explained in an interview with Hindi Rush. Their flat and the bungalow across the street are their only houses. While Govinda frequently stays at the bungalow due to his late arrival from meetings, her temple and children reside at the flat. Whereas her daughter, son, and she cohabitate but hardly exchange words, Govinda finds great satisfaction in engaging in lengthy conversations with groups of 10 or more individuals. Sunita concluded by saying that speaking too much, in her opinion, saps one's energy.
