Emraan Hashmi's latest theatrical release Ground Zero has been struggling at the Box Office even more than Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2. The movie opened to Rs. 1 crore only on its first Friday and has been earning in single digits since. Yes, the Excel Entertainment-backed movie did not even earn Rs. 10 crore on its first weekend, thus hinting at another big disaster. Here's the Box Office collection of Ground Zero so far...
Azhar actor Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero has continued earning in single digits. The film minted Rs. 2.15 crore on its first Sunday, according to Sacnilk. It opened to Rs. 1.15 crore on Friday and earned Rs. 1.9 crore on Saturday. The minimal growth and earning only Rs. 5.20 crore at the Box Office (which is practically in single digits) over its first weekend proves that this movie is up to be a disaster.
Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 is the winner at the Box Office this week. The movie has finally managed to cross Rs. 100 crore mark, but worldwide.
Ground Zero is the story about BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey (played by Why Cheat India actor Emraan Hashmi). Based around the 2001 Parliament attack and 2002 Akshardham attack, the story is about his mission to nab Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Ghazi Baba.
Apart from Kesari 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat, Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero faced challenges from Pratik Gandhi-led Phule and the re-release of Aamir Khan-Salman Khan's cult classic Andaz Apna Apna in theatres.
As for Emraan Hashmi, the actor is scheduled to be seen in Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai sequel opposite Yami Gautam. The actor has also announced Awarapan 2, all of which are scheduled to release soon.
