Ground Zero out on OTT: Emraan Hashmi's action-thriller drops online but there's a catch!

Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero was released in theaters on April 25. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film received mixed responses from fans and critics. One month and a few days after the theatrical release, the film is now out on Amazon Prime Video, but there is a catch! 

Ground Zero on Prime Video with a twist

Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero has landed on Amazon Prime Video. However, the film is on rent and one needs to purchase it to enjoy the action thriller. 

As per the streaming platform, one can purchase the film at Rs. 349 to stream Ground Zero. If you missed out on watching the movie in a theatre, now you can stream it online.

About Ground Zero

Ground Zero is an action-thriller film inspired by the real-life heroism of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. The plot revolves around Dubey's mission to track down and eliminate Rana Tahir Nadeem, better known as Ghazi Baba, the mastermind behind the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Indian Parliament and Akshardham Temple. The film features Emraan Hashmi as Dubey, along with Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain.

The film explores the concept of deradicalization through the character of a young boy who joins the rebel group but later decides to leave after being influenced by Dubey and his wife. Ground Zero also explores the complex dynamics of the conflict in Kashmir and the challenges faced by security forces in the region.

Emraan Hashmi on shooting in Kashmir

In an interview with Zoom, Emraan Hashmi recalled shooting in Kashmir for Ground Zero. He said that he had a great time shooting in Srinagar because, incidentally, it was his first visit. "We've all seen postcard pictures of the lake, and stepping into Srinagar felt like watching those postcards come to life. The 30-40 days we shot there, the support system we received from both the BSF and the locals made this film—and such a smooth shoot—possible," he said.

Meanwhile, Ground Zero also features Deepak Paramesh, Lalit Prabhakar, Rockey Raina, and Rahul Vohra.
