Mumbai Indians (MI), coming off a dramatic victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Eliminator, will play Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in Qualifier 2.

However, what will happen if Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians Qualifier 2 gets abandoned due to rain?

Ahmedabad is expected to have good weather on May 26. On the day of the game, the temperature is predicted to reach 36°C with a humidity level of 43% and wind speeds of 19 km/h. Thankfully, there won't be any risk of rain throughout the game.

In the case of rain, a super over will decide the result of Qualifier 2. However, the outcomes will be determined by how each club performed during the league stage if the playing surface is not appropriate for a super over.

Gujarat Titans, who topped the league stage, would therefore automatically advance to Qualifier 2.

As for Qualifier 2, Akash Madhwal had earlier put on a stunning show against LSG, picking up a brilliant five-for and displaying remarkable consistency. Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green are anticipated to put up strong performances, making MI's batting order a force to be reckoned with.

On the other hand, Gujarat will look to Shubman Gill to take the initiative, as Hardik Pandya and Wriddhiman Saha's play continue to raise questions. Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan, the bowlers for GT, have been outstanding thus far and may be essential in earning a victory.
