Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is releasing in 2023.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 to have one more actor added as the cast member and its none other than Will Poulter. Yes, the actor is set to play the role of Adam Warlock, who was first teased in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. The official announcement came through earlier today and the director James Gunn also confirmed Will's presence via his Twitter page. For the uninitiated, in Marvel comics, Adam Warlock is also addressed as Magus.
However, it was in the mid-credit scene of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, when Ayesha played by Elizabeth Debicki says she is creating a being who is capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Gunn showed his excitement on roping Poulter for the film by tweeting, "As you guys know I often strike down false rumours, so… um… Welcome to the Guardians family, Will Poulter. He’s an amazing actor and a wonderful guy. See you in a couple of weeks. #AdamWarlock #GotGVol3. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Marvel.com has described the character of Adam as "Emerging from a cocoon, the being known as Adam Warlock defies his creators' intentions and proves to be an important cosmic entity."
They also added that he is a unique being who uses his immense and formidable powers to safeguard the universe.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is set to go on floors in November this year. The film likely features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and others in pivotal roles.
The film got delayed due to James being busy with the shoot of The Suicide Squad which was released earlier this year. Earlier the filmmaker was also suspended from the film as a director due to old controversial tweets. However, he is back on the director's chair now.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is slated to release in 2023.
