A slice of life series Gullak is back with its third instalment. The Palash Vaswani directorial stars Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Harsh Mayar in major roles. Harsh, who plays the role of Aman Mishra, has recently talked about how challenging was it to play a schoolkid at the age of 24.

Talking about his character in Gullak, Harsh recently said in a statement that he is not like his character at all, in fact, he relates more to Vaibhav's character, who is portraying the role of his big brother Annu Bhaiya. He further mentioned that because he is the eldest child in his family, he navigates through similar situations in life as Annu Mishra.

"When I got the script, I initially thought I would have to play the elder son. Later, they wanted me to play Aman. I was a bit hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure about the different shades of the character. However, the beauty of the story dragged me in, and I just had to be part of it, in whatever capacity or role offered,” he added.

Elaborating on his reel and real-life age gap, he added to the statement that to go back to the teenage years and convincingly play the part, one has to get into the skin of the character and that's what he did.

SonyLIV is bringing back the fan-favourite show, which documents the story of the Mishras, a simple, middle-class family, which will take the audience on a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Gullak, which also has been written by Durgesh Singh, is all set to release on April 7.
