Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer film Badhaai Do, which is based on the concept of a lavender marriage recently began streaming on Netflix. While the film did open to positive reviews and a good word of mouth in theatres on February 11 this year, it seems to have gotten a new lease of life after its release on the OTT platform. Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who appears in a small but significant role in the film has been flooded with words of praises and appreciation for his part.

While he's known to be a fantastic actor, Gulshan seems to feel that he got quite lucky with Badhaai Do as he's unable to come to terms with the kind of love and attention his six minute part is getting in a 147 minute long film. Sharing his thoughts and the reason why he agreed to play the character of a queer lawyer, Guru, in the film, the actor took to his Twitter account and wrote, "I know I’m good..perhaps very good but I got lucky with #BadhaaiDo
I can’t believe the attention I’m getting for it. Its just a 6 min part in a 147 min film.
My decision to play Guru was Harshvardhan & the wonderful writing by Suman Adhikary, Akshat Ghildial & Harsh"
Check out his tweet here:

Fans showered him with love on his tweet as well. One of them wrote, "You did good Gulshan. This is how we will be able to change the narrative in favour of the LGBTQ community. Baby steps" while another replied writing, "Perhaps toooooooooooo good... May be you don't realise how much underrated you are as an artist.... Wish we could see you more often onscreen and likewise you get your due credit and appreciation Regards,Your fan post "Hunterrr"."

Another one of the tweeple commented, "Those 6 minutes.. You literally steal the show. I coudn't get out of Guru for 3 days. watched just those 6 minutes again and again. simply in love with Guru."

Another tweet read: "Its amazing how consistently good you are in everything that you do. I was smiling throughout each time you were on screen and your pairing with Raj felt so wholesome to witness!"

One of the Twitterati even pointed out an interesting fact about Rajkummar Rao and Gulshan Devaiah. While Rao did a cameo appearance in Devaiah's Shaitan, this time, it was Devaiah who returned the favour.

Gulshan Devaiah's performance and the love that he has been getting from the audience once again proves that the length of the role and the screen time one gets doesn't matter for an actor to shine. The actor's effortless performance in the film has definitely left a lasting impression in the minds of the audience. Its a pity we don't get to see him more often on screen.
