Gulshan Grover talks about Your Honor 2, Sooryavanshi, Indian 2 and more

Gulshan Grover is currently basking under the success of the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi and the recently released crime-thriller web series, Your Honor 2. He recently spoke to India Today about his role in the web series along with his take on the different shows that come out on OTT platforms.

Talking about Your Honor 2, Gulshan Grover lauded the web series for its emotional quotient and brilliant storyline. He spoke of how much impact the story made on him, which drove him to take the project up. Appearing in an antagonistic avatar who makes the life of Jimmy Shergill a living hell, the actor talked of how he brings fire to the story of the crime-thriller. We get to see him carrying multiple dark shades to his character, for he often clashes with Shergill on screen.

He also talked about the overwhelming response he received for his character in Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi. He can be seen, yet again playing an antagonistic avatar on screen. He recollected his heartening experience when he went to watch the movie in theatres and get thronged by fans, who conveyed their appreciation for his performance. “This was Friday afternoon, the second show. They were saying, 'Usmani bhai aa gaye’ (Usmani Bhai has come),” said the actor.

Talking about working with Kamal Haasan in Indian 2, Gulshan Grover lauded the Universal Hero for experimenting with new subjects in his movies. “In Bollywood, our actors have started to experiment only in recent times. He has been experimenting since Sadma days,” he says. He even mentioned how director Shankar extravagantly shot visually appealing songs on a villain (played by Grover) in multiple locations outside India.
