Guntur Kaaram director Trivikram to direct Allu Arjun’s OTT debut? Leading streamer drops a hint

Leading OTT platform aha has certainly brought a newfound enthusiasm into the digital space across the Telugu and Tamil markets in the recent years. Be it reality shows, talk shows, web serials, game shows, pathbreaking films and latest blockbusters featuring the biggest names from the tinsel town, aha has been a pioneer in more ways than one in the regional markets.

The platform will have another feather in their cop, by facilitating the streaming debut of one of the biggest Telugu stars, Allu Arjun, with their upcoming web production. The streaming platform made a surprise announcement yesterday by confirming the OTT entry of the Pushpa 2 star. While fans speculated if this could be a talk show or something within the non-fiction format, aha has come up with another surprise update.

‘Ayana kalamnuchi putte okko 'mata'... Ak 47 nunchi vache 'thoota' kanna power untundhi..! 'Matallo' cheppaleni Mantrikudu…! Meeku ardhamouthundha evaroo…? Keep guessing,’ the OTT platform tweeted today. With the direct references to Trivikram, who’s nicknamed ‘maatala mantrikudu’ by Telugu audiences, the platform didn’t offer much scope for speculation here.

So, will Trivikram direct Allu Arjun’s web show? The update about the ‘blockbuster director’ will be out at 10 am tomorrow, aha confirmed. Is this truly marking the star’s debut in the OTT space or is this a smart marketing strategy leading to a promotional campaign around the platform? If one remembers, Allu Arjun, Sreeleela and Trivikram had filmed for an ad related to aha a few months ago. We’ll finally have answers tomorrow.

On the work front, apart from Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun has officially committed to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film, which the latter would direct after Spirit, headlined by Prabhas. Allu Arjun had also made an appearance on several shows on aha - Unstoppable with NBK, Telugu Indian Idol 2 and Sam Jam, to name a few.
