Tamannaah and Satyadev

Satyadev Kancharana and Tamannaah’s intense romance, Gurthunda Seethakalam, which was to release in February this year, will now hit theatres in June. The film directed by Nagashekar is the official Telugu remake of the Kannada hit Love Mocktail. Megha Akash and Kavya Shetty too play female leads in the romance bankrolled by Suresh Punneseri and Govind Dhanala under Nagashekar Movies, Manikanta Entertainments and Sri Vedaakshara Movies.

Cast as Dev and Nidhi in it, Satyadev and Tamannah are all smiles as they embrace one another in the release announcement poster. “Experience the magic of love like never before💕 #GurtundaSeetakalam is releasing worldwide in June 2022♥️. Let's fall in love again and again,” the makers wrote as they announced the release month. The film centres on the life of a software employee who’s eager to experience true love and come to terms with his bitter past.

The June month already has a packed calendar with the likes of Vikram, Major, Ante Sundaraniki, Ramarao on Duty, Sammathame confirming their release across all the four weekends. Currently, June 24 seems to be the best bet for Gurthunda Seethakalam given that only smaller films like Sammathame and Gangster Gangaraju are set to hit the screens that day. It’s important for Gurthunda.. team to avoid further postponements if they expect audiences to retain their interest in the film.

Suhasini Maniratnam too plays an important role in this saga. Kaala Bhairava is roped in as the composer while Satya Hegde is the cinematographer. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor and the trio Bhavana Ravi, and Ramarao Chintapalli are the co-producers. The Kannada version, Love Mocktail, now on Amazon Prime Video, features Krishna, Milana Nagaraj and Amrutha Iyengar in key roles and released theatrically in January 2020.
