Satyadev, who emerged the unlikely lockdown star with several OTT releases like Locked, Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya, and consolidated his position as a lead with Thimmarusu in 2021, is back with another film titled Gurtunda Seetakalam. The rom-com is the Telugu remake of the Kannada hit Love Mocktail and features the Gods of Dharmapuri actor alongside three female leads including Tamannaah, Megha Akash, Kavya Shetty. The film is directed by Nagashekar R.
Commemorating Valentine's Day, the film's theatrical trailer was launched earlier today. In the trailer, we see Satyadev talking of the magic that winter ushers in his life. He takes us through the many chapters in his love life and its connection with the winter season, from his teenage years to college days and the other women he's smitten by, later. Gurtunda Seetakalam is delectably shot and appears like a memorable musical with dollops of nostalgia, a solid star cast and a feel-good story.
While Satyadev appears convincing his portions with Megha Akash and Tamanaaah, he doesn't exactly look like a student in the sequences featuring his college days. Kaala Bhairava is scoring the music for the romantic saga that's bankrolled by Bhavana Ravi, Nagashekar (the director himself) and Rama Rao Chinthapalli under Nagashekar Movies And Manikanta Entertainments, in collaboration with Srivedakshara Films.
Gurtunda Seetakalam was announced as a February release earlier this year but the makers haven't confirmed the release date yet. The story revolves around a techie in his 30s, who has to move beyond his heartbreaks, to seek true love.
