After facing multiple release postponements throughout the year, Gurtunda Seetakalam is finally gearing up to hit theatres on December 9. The film, with screenplay and direction by Nagashekar R, is the Telugu remake of the Kannada hit Love Mocktail. Satyadev, whose Godse and Godfather released earlier this year, plays the central role while Tamannaah, Kavya Shetty and Megha Akash are cast as the female leads. Rama Rao Chinthapalli, Bhavana Ravi, Nagashekar are the producers.
The trailer of Gurtunda Seetakalam was launched earlier today. The story revolves around a youngster Dev and how his love interests change in every phase of his life. From his childhood to teenage years to his mid 20s, he constantly alternates from one woman to the other and he's perennially confused about making the right choice. His friend keeps offering him nuggets of wisdom about women and relationships. Does Dev pay heed to his advise? Will Dev eventually find his soulmate?
With a soothing album by Kaala Bhairava and impressive dialogues by Lakshmi Bhupal, Gurtunda Seetakalam promises to be a feel-good romance with enough drama, humour and a story that takes interesting turns. Priyadarshi and Suhasini play other important roles in this saga presented by MS Reddy and Chinna Babu. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor and Satya Hegde is the cinematographer respectively. Venkat is the stunt director while VJ Sekhar choreographs the dance moves.
Love Mocktail, the film that inspired Gurtunda Seetakalam, starred Darling Krishna, Milana Nagaraj, Amrutha Iyengar in important roles and was one of the most successful Kannada releases in 2020. Meanwhile Gurtunda.. actor Tamannah has already had four releases this year - F3, Plan A Plan B, Babli Bouncer and Ghani (in a song appearance). She is also the leading lady of Chiranjeevi's Bholaa Shankar, directed by Meher Ramesh.
