Guru Randhawa to make his acting debut opposite Anupam Kher; former says he ‘couldn’t have asked for a better launch’

Ever since Guru Randhawa announced that he is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut soon, fans have been anxiously waiting for updates about the same. In some good news for fans, the singer has finally dropped a huge update about his silver screen debut. Randhawa’s maiden acting venture will see him share the screen with none other than Anupam Kher.

Taking to social media, Randhawa posted a photograph of himself with the veteran actor, where the two are seen holding a script and sharing laughs as they kickstarted their project in Agra. Kher is seen sporting white hair and spectacles.

Randhawa captioned the post, “Reading my 1st Script and it is his 532nd. I am a new comer and #KherSaab is a legend (Sir hates to be called that). You people have been very generous and kind to me as a singer. Now I need your love and blessings in my new journey as an ACTOR. I promise to work very hard! Kher also shared the picture on his own social media handles, and captioned it “Reading my 532nd script and it is his 1st! Even though he is already a super star. Ladies and Gentlemen! The upcoming film will be backed by Amit Bhatia, in his maiden production venture. The film will reportedly be helmed by G. Ashok, a popular name in the Telugu film industry. In addition to Randhawa and Kher, the upcoming yet to be titled film will also feature Saiee M Manjrekar as the female lead. The film is scheduled for release some time next year.
