Gurudev Hoysala trailer Twitter reactions: ‘Dhananjaya is on fire; finally gets an action thriller to show his calibre’, say netizens

For Kannada actor Daali Dhananjaya, Gurudev Hoysala marks the beginning of a new phase in his career. The actor, for who the film is his 25th ever, had been experimenting with roles, ever since he saw an upswing in his career trajectory following the success of his role as Daali in Tagaru. Unfortunately for Dhananajaya, though, his experiments with genres and roles didn’t pan out how he’d hoped they would, with 2022 being spectacularly lacklustre for him.

After 6 back-to-back box office disasters, Dhananjaya finally took the tough call to stop experimenting, and instead focus on massy action entertainers for family audiences. Gurudev Hoysala, which comes to theatres on March 30, is the first in, hopefully, a long line of such films. The trailer of the film was launched by Kiccha Sudeep today and going by the response to it on social media, it appears that Dhananjaya is on the right track after all.
