Even as a romantic song is introduced with Gustaakh Ishq teaser, Vibhu Puri's film seems to waver with its focus, at least in the teaser. Presented by costume designer Manish Malhotra, Gustaakh Ishq tries to show the real chemistry between Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh but it lacks the conviction, at least for now. Even a seasoned actor like Naseeruddin Shah fails to bring in a punch with the teaser.

Gustaakh Ishq teaser shows glimpses from the Yamuna river bank. Naseeruddin Shah is introduced with a cat. While having tea in Safdarjung, or experiencing the city's vibe while sitting at the top of the tomb still count as an experience, they can barely leave an impact when it comes to the actors' chemistry. Even the towel folding scene could barely make up for the lack of chemistry. The twist in the story promises something similar to Lootera, but it is too early to either praise it or write it off. The trailer would give out a fairer idea about the movie.
