GV Prakash sings a ‘fun title track’ for Prabhudheva and Madonna Sebastian’s dark comedy film Jolly O Gymkhana

We had earlier reported that actors Prabhudheva and Madonna Sebastian will be headlining the upcoming Tamil film titled Jolly O Gymkhana. The makers on Friday, announced that the film will feature a song crooned by music composer and actor GV Prakash.

Jolly O Gymkhana will have music scored by Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy. Apart from Madonna and Prabhudheva, the film also features comedian Yogi Babu.

It is common for music directors to sing under their fellow composers' works. In the similar fashion, composer Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy, who is scoring for Jolly O Gymkhana, revealed that GV Prakash will be singing a song in the film.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ashwin shared photographs of himself along with GV Prakash from the composing studio and wrote, “Thank you @gvprakash anna for singing the super fun title track of #JollyOGymkhana and making us all dance in the studio. Cannot wait for people to hear this one.” The title of the song is yet to be revealed.

About Jolly O Gymkhana

Helmed by Charlie Chaplin (2002) director Sakthi Chidambaram, Jolly O Gymkhana is expected to be a dark comedy commercial entertainer. Prabhudheva will be playing a corpse which will end up being with four women who run a food joint.

Yogi Babu plays a pastor in the film and Madhusudhana Rao plays the villain. The supporting cast includes Yashika Aannand, John Vijay, Sai Dheena, MS Baaskar, Robo Shankar, and Aadukalam Naren. The film is produced by Transindia Media and Entertainment, and was filmed in various locations, including Tenkasi, Kodaikanal, Chennai, and Puducherry. The technical crew comprises composer Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy, cinematographer MC Ganesh Chandra, and editor Ramar. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, GV Prakash last worked in Siren. He has a huge line-up of films, including Thangalaan, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, Amaran in Tamil and Emergency in Hindi. Besides, he is also acting in DeAr, Kingston, Rebel, and for which he is also scoring the music.
