GV Prakash’s new movie with director Seenu Ramasamy commences shoot

Filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy took to Twitter today to share the news about his next movie starring G.V Prakash Kumar. The film went on floors in the presence of its cast and crew with a pooja today. Gayathrie Shankar plays a nurse and has an important role in the movie. It is rumoured that G.V.Prakash agreed to do the movie after hearing a one-line summary from Seenu Ramasamy.

G.V. Prakash didn’t taste success with his last movie Vanakkam Da Mappillei, which received lukewarm response and mixed reviews from viewers and critics. The last decent success the actor had was the multi-starrer Sivappu Manjal Pachai with Sidharth. The actor is also looking forward to the release of his delayed movie Ayngaran on Sony Liv.

Seenu Ramasamy had last directed Kanne Kalaimaane starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Tamannaah. The movie is about the struggles faced by a much-in-love couple after marriage. The movie tanked at the box office and the critics did not spare it either. Seenu is generally known for his realistic movies including the critically acclaimed Neerparvai and the commercial blockbuster Dharma Durai.

The director is also looking forward to the release of his delayed Maamanithan starring Vijay Setupathi and Gayathrie. This will mark the third collaboration of Seenu Ramasamy, Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie.
