Four years after the massive success of Bhutu Bhaijaan in Haami, the makers, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy are back with the sequel of the film, Haami 2. Three young actors, Ritodeep Sengupta, Shreyan Ghosh, and Aritrika Chowdhuri, will be seen as the lead actors, along with Shiboprosad as Laltu and Gargee RoyChowdhury and Mitali. Along with them, the trailer also revealed Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anjan Dutt, Haranath Chakraborty, Monami Ghosh, Tnusree Chakraborty, and others. However, Broto Banerjee, who plays Bhutu in Haami, is missing from the film.

The trailer also features the title track of the film. Penned and composed by Anindya Chatterjee, the song takes a cue from the hit track from the first film. The trailer starts with Laltu and Mitali’s family with their two sons, Bhepu and Chinu. The trailer takes them to a reality show stage where a little girl (Aritrika) – the heroine – joins them. As the song proceeds, new characters come in on the stage of the reality show. The trailer upholds its intrinsic flavour of innocence and friendship and blended it with comedy. With the presence of the ‘heroine’ and her family, the trailer also hints at communal harmony in the film. Anjan Dutt is seen as Nitai Jyatha and Prosenjit walks in as the superstar on the reality show stage.

According to the makers, the story revolves around a seven-year-old boy – a prodigal child – who can perform difficult mathematical problems, understand tough socio-economic issues in the country, and readily answer questions within a jiffy. Earlier, on September 17, the day of Viswakarma Puja, the director duo, along with Gargee, introduced the child actors. Besides, they made 500 ‘Haami 2 kites’ and flew them all over the city.
