Comedienne Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were recently distressed after their YouTube channel got hacked. The couple enjoys over 3 million subscribers on the platform, where they share their videos. It was a channel that Bharti and Haarsh collectively built over four years. Unfortunately, as it got hacked, the duo had a tough time retrieving it. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Haarsh revealed how he and his wife dealt with this fiasco.
Haarsh Limbachiyaa told the publication that he and Bharti upload videos daily on the YT channel at least three to four times. However, on Thursday around 6:30 pm, they were logged out of the YouTube channel. Their channel was no longer visible and the name ad videos were altered.
Revealing the importance of the YT channel in their lives, Haarsh told HT that it is difficult to get people to subscribe to the channel. This is tricky when one's professional background isn't in the same medium.
"We were from TV and mainstream media, this world and YouTube’s world are completely different. We have built this channel over a period of four years. We started in 2020, and today, in 2024, our efforts and paisa, everything has been invested in this channel. We were under a lot of stress," he said.
Much to their relief, Haarsh and Bharti's YT channel was soon retrieved. The writer revealed that they got in touch with YouTube support through their Twitter and Instagram handles. They got a response from the platform's US team after a mail was sent.
"We spent the night working with their technical team to resolve the issue," stated Haarsh while adding that they regained access to the channel on July 19, Friday morning.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bharti is currently busy with hosting duties of Laughter Chefs Unlimited Entertainment.
