It is no longer hidden that Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde (Radhe Shyam) have come together for David Dhawan Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. While that is already the hookline for Salman Khan-Karisma Kapoor's film Biwi No 1 song, Ishq Sona Hai (featuring Salman and Sushmita Sen), there's a new connection to the original film. Now, Varun and Pooja were spotted filming for Chunari Chunari, and the song video is already going viral.

Chunari Chunari shoot in Europe

Originally featuring Salman and Sushmita, where she casually tells her (married) lover to touch her 'chunari', the song Chunari Chunari was how David Dhawan narrated the story of the extra-marital affair in Biwi No 1. This time around, Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde are seen filming the song in Europe. Varun holds the red chunari as the duo dance to the popular Biwi No 1 song. Although the original song featured Sushmita in Indian attire, this time Pooja is seen in a gold dress for the track.

Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai schedule

Mouni Roy wrapped her portions of Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, and now, Varun (Badlapur), Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur are shooting for the film in Europe. The movie aims for April 2026 release. The title's connection with Biwi No 1 and the song remake can only leave one wondering if we'll see Biwi No 1 remake itself featuring the actors. And the bigger question is, will it work in times where the definition of marriage, Queen and King has completely transformed?

Varun Dhawan-David Dhawan's fourth collaboration

Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan have already collaborated on three films before Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. While their first film, Main Tera Hero, was loved by most, the second movie Judwaa 2 received lukewarm response. Their third collaboration film was Coolie No 1, which was subjected to heavy trolling because of various scenes. There is now doubt whether Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai can actually connect with fans. If it is the remake of Salman Khan (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan)-Karisma Kapoor's Biwi No 1 indeed, then there is a long way to go unless the story really keeps up with the times.
