Hai Junoon – Dream. Dare. Dominate. is a youth-centric drama that JioHotstar will stream beginning May 16, 2025, and the official trailer for the show has been released. The series, written by Aditya Bhat and produced by Jio Creative Labs and directed by Abhishek Sharma, will take place at the made-up Anderson College in Mumbai and will feature a music and dance competition.
Played by Sumedh Mudgalkar, the show follows Sebi as he joins a defiant dancing crew named "The Misfits" with the guidance of Pearl Saldhana (Jacqueline Fernandez). In a high-stakes battle for the GOAT trophy, they want to take on "The Supersonics", an elite team headed by Gagan Ahuja (Neil Nitin Mukesh), a legacy student. Boman Irani, Siddharth Nigam, Priyank Sharma, and a slew of new stars round out the cast.
The inclusion of forty original songs into the story is what makes the show unique, according to Neil (whose last outing was Hisaab Barabar), who plays Gagan. He emphasised that the performance was more than a mere live one. Jacqueline, who plays Pearl, said the role is both strong and complicated emotionally, and that she had to change her dancing style to fit the character's development.
Sebi, played by Sumedh, represents marginalised people who are fighting for acceptance, according to the actor. According to him, the show delves deeper than just dancing competitions. It explores themes of identity, challenges, and the pursuit of greater things.
A new chapter in Siddharth's (who was seen in Hero – Gayab Mode On) career began when he trained to sing for the performance, and Priyank spoke about the friendships she made throughout rehearsals and how they danced with heart rather than precision.
From competitiveness and ambition to heartbreak and discovery, the show reflects the intensity of college life, according to director Abhishek Sharma. Bringing honesty to the screen, the cast achieved our goal of making it feel real, he added.
Exclusively on JioHotstar, you can stream "Hai Junoon – Dream. Dare. Dominate" beginning May 16.
