The director said that, like Dominic Arun, he was once a young filmmaker who wished to use films to present a distinct viewpoint. "I loved Lokah mainly because the team behind it was able to bring in a new standard in storytelling," he stated. Priyadarshan remarked that he always wanted to bring in new stories, and these young directors handles it beautifully. "Dominic draws inspiration from the Avengers and Marvel Cinematic Universe, whereas I was influenced by films such as Charlie Chaplin.
