Hansika Motwani speaks out about breaking up Sohael Khaturiya's first marriage: 9 actresses accused of being homewreckers

Hansika's Love Shaadi Drama, Disney+ Hotstar's reality show on the wedding of Hansika Motwani released today. The show, which is about her wedding to businessman Sohael Khaturiya and the preparations around it, also addresses accusations that cropped up around the time that their engagement was announced. 

In the show, Hansika and Sohael spoke about the rumours that Hansika was responsible for breaking up Sohael's first wedding with Rinky, who was apparently Hansika's close friend. Soon after Hansika announced that she was engaged to Sohael, it was revealed that the businessman was earlier married to Rinky in 2014, and that Hansika had attended his first wedding. Connecting the dots, it was alleged that Hansika was a homewrecker. But she's not the only actress who has been blamed for breaking up a marriage. 

Shilpa Shetty: Married to Raj Kundra
Raj Kundra's first wife, Kavita, accused Shilpa of breaking up their marriage, which ended in 2006. It was reported that Raj filed for divorce with Kavita after meeting and falling in love with Shilpa, and ended their marriage soon after their daughter was born. Raj and Shilpa later got married in 2009.

Rani Mukerji: Married to Aditya Chopra
It was rumoured that Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra began dating while Aditya was still married to his first wife, Payal Khanna. But Rani has always maintained that she and the producer began dating only after Aditya divorced Payal.

Kiran Rao: Was married to Aamir Khan
Kiran Rao was given the tag of homewrecker when Aamir Khan ended his 16-year-long marriage to Reena Dutta. While this rumour refused to die down, Aamir addressed it on Koffee With Karan, saying that Reena and Kiran were always on good terms.

Lara Dutta: Married to Mahesh Bhupathi
The former Miss Universe and the tennis champ apparently began dating when Mahesh was still married to his first wife, model Shvetha Jaishankar. Shvetha even said this in a 2010 interview with a magazine, adding that Lara wasn't the first woman who Mahesh had cheated on her with.

Shabana Azmi: Married to Javed Akhtar
Shabana Azmi has been outspoken about dating the lyricist when he was a married man with two kids, and that her parents were opposed to their union. Shabana has, in fact, credited Javed's first wife, Honey Irani, for not poisoning their kids, Farhan and Zoya Akhtar, against her, due to which she has a good relationship with them.

Raveena Tandon: Married to Anil Thadani
According to the grapevine, Anil was dating the Mast Mast girl when he was still married to Natasha Sippy. His relationship with Raveena was alleged to be the main reason behind Anil's first divorce, and the actress and Natasha reportedly have sour ties.

Sarika: Was married to Kamal Haasan
Kamal Haasan was married to danseuse Vani Ganapathy when he began dating and fell in love with actress Sarika. The actor even spoke about this in Simi Garewal's chat show in 2000, saying that Sarika tried to end their relationship because he was a married man. Sarika was called the 'other woman' and was looked down upon for breaking up Kamal's marriage.

Sridevi: Was married to Boney Kapoor
It was widely rumoured that the late Sridevi had an affair with filmmaker Boney Kapoor when he was still married to Mona Kapoor, and even got pregnant out of wedlock. She was accused of being a marriage breaker, because Sridevi and Mona were said to be good friends.

Hema Malini: Married to Dharmendra
