HanuMan is Teja Sajja's latest release that is doing well at the box office. Zee 5 has bagged the digital rights to the film
HanuMan is the latest Telugu release that has become a talking point all over. Released on January 12, 2024, HanuMan has had a great start at the box office, making Rs 10 crore gross on day one which is huge.
A few weeks ago, we, at OTTplay, had already revealed that Zee 5 has bagged the digital rights to the film. Well, the news now is that Zee has spent a whopping Rs 35 crore on the digital rights of the fantasy drama. This amount also includes the satellite rights of the film.
During the promotions, the makers revealed that HanuMan will not be out for at least two months of its theatrical release. Prasanth Varma has directed this film which has Teja Sajja as the main lead. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is also seen in a key role in the film and her performance is being lauded by one and all.
Also, the collections of the film are superb in the US as HanuMan has grossed the $ 1 million mark today and is likely to also cross the $ 2 million mark by the end of its run. The film was made on a budget of only Rs 20 crore and the VFX looked great in the film for the budget spent, was the common verdict by most of the audience.
With HanuMan, Prasanth Varma has created a superhero cinematic universe, and in the days to come, Prasanth Varma will create more superheroes from Indian mythology. HanuMan had issues with theatre allocation as most of the screens were allotted to Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram.
Now, that the film has opened to mixed reactions, more screens are being given to HanuMan in Telugu states and across the areas of its release. If it continues its impressive run, HanuMan will make two times the profit which is superb for a small film. Watch this space for more updates.
