Hari Hara Veera Mallu on OTT: Pawan Kalyan’s historical locks streaming date

If the buzz in industry circles is to be believed, Telugu superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan’s recent release, Hari Hara Veera Mallu may just make its way to OTT within a month of its theatrical outing. Released in theatres on July 24, the film, which was much delayed in its making, which forced director Krish Jagarlamudi to step out and make way for AM Jyoti Krishna to complete it, the film has been a box office wash-out, prompting speculation that it will be on OTT earlier than expected.

According to reports, Hari Hara Veera Mallu will land on Amazon Prime Video on August 20. This has been confirmed by the streamer. On day 1 of the film’s release, it was widely panned for its below-average VFX effects, which prompted the team to replace those segments with enhanced visuals. By then, though, word had spread that despite Pawan Kalyan’s best efforts, the film’s narrative faltered, especially in the second half.

Despite the film’s failure at the box office, the makers have announced that they will still go ahead with plans for the sequel, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Yuddhabhoomi with original director Krish returning to helm it. Pawan Kalyan had earlier revealed that about 30% of the sequel has already been shot.
