Hari Hara Veera Mallu is one of the most-awaited films in Telugu cinema and has been in the making for the last five years. Due to Pawan Kalyan's political commitments, the film has faced repeated delays. Recently, as Pawan Kalyan wrapped up the shoot, the makers locked June 12, 2025, as the release date.
However, things have changed at the last minute, as the film’s theatrical business is still not finalized. Additionally, the VFX work remains incomplete, which is the main reason for the film’s postponement. An official confirmation is yet to be made.
Now, we at OTTplay have exclusively learned that the makers are planning to release the film on July 4, 2025, and the same will be officially announced soon via a new poster. The film has been produced by AM Rathnam, who reportedly spent close to Rs 200 crore on the project. Since the film was in production for an extended period, the makers had to pay interest running into crores for the sets erected in top studios.
Pawan Kalyan, known for his role in Badri, will be seen as Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a legendary Telugu freedom fighter, in this film initially directed by Vedham fame Krish. However, due to the multiple delays, Krish moved away from the project, and AM Rathnam's son, Jyothi Krishna, completed the film on time.
Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead, while Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist, Aurangzeb. The music is composed by RRR fame MM Keeravani. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital rights to the film for a whopping Rs 52 crore and plans to stream it in the second week of August 2025.
There are also reports that the makers are planning a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad to officially announce the new release date. But for now, Hari Hara Veera Mallu stands postponed and will not release on June 12, 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on this much-anticipated project.
