Harish Kalyan, known for his role in the critically acclaimed film Parking, is set to star in the upcoming movie Diesel directed by Shanmugam Muthusamy.

Harish Kalyan, who was last seen in critically acclaimed Tamil film Parking, is set to headline the upcoming film Diesel. While the makers have not yet announced the release date of the film, the latest buzz suggest that the film will be joining the Diwali race this year.
Harish Kalyan is one of the promising actors in Tamil film industry. His last film, Parking, was one of the critically acclaimed films in 2023. The actor is currently working on the project titled Diesel, which is directed by Adangathey-fame Shanmugam Muthusamy.
Now, in the latest, it is reported that Harish Kalyan-starrer will be releasing for Diwali. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to made by the makers. It is to be noted that the Diwali race is already on, with both Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran and Jayam Ravi's Brother already locked for the festival release. Diesel is touted to be a commercial action film, which also stars Sai Krishna, Atulya Ravi, Vinay Karunaas, and others.
Speaking about the film, Harish Kalyan had earlier said, "Diesel, though, is set in the backdrop of North Chennai and deals with mafias and scams that we haven’t heard of before. This is the biggest film of my career in terms of budget, content and star cast. I had to undergo a physical transformation for this one, too.”
With music by Kanaa-fame Dhibu Ninan Thomas, veteran cinematographer MS Prabhu, known for films like Vaali and Ramana, is cranking the camera for Diesel.
If Harish Kalyan’s is indeed coming for Diwali, then the season is packed with three Tamil releases so far. Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Amaran directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy has locked its release date as October 31.
Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi’s Brother, a light-hearted family drama is also releasing for Diwali. Co-starring Priyanka Arul Mohan, the film is directed by filmmaker M Rajesh.
