Sanya Malhotra Mrs. is still making noise on social media for the topic it addresses. Harman Baweja, who has produced the Zee5 film (available for streaming on OTTplay Premium), spoke about casting Sanya Malhotra and Kanwaljit Singh. He revealed that with the latter, the intention always was to cast someone who is so loved. Here's everything he said...

Harman Baweja on casting Sanya Malhotra in Mrs

On casting Sanya Malhotra, Harman Baweja said that she was the actress from the word go. "She's one of the nicest people I have come across and worked with. She is so honest with her craft and so level-headed," he told Zoom. The producer points out that Sanya never brought her own self to Richa and simply played the actor, which he loved about Sanya. He calls her a phenomenal actor with Mrs. simply establishing that.

Speaking of Kanwaljit, Harman shared that the intent always was to get an actor who you do not expect to behave the way Kanwaljit's character in the movie does. The producer points out how the actor did not shout or scream but subtly made people hate him. "It's a challenge because how do you fight someone who's so calm and composed and still making a point so strongly that there is no way around it," he shared, calling himself blessed that Mrs. came together.

Harman Baweja claims he brought the male perspective to Mrs

Stating that he's the only man among the director-producer-actor (Aarti Kadam, Harman and Sanya) trio, he points out how he brought a male perspective. With it, he believes it gave Mrs. narrative the balance it needs.
