After making his mark in the music industry, Harrdy Sandhu is all set to take Bollywood by storm. After his stellar Bollywood debut last year in 83, the actor is gearing up for the release of his next Hindi film, Code Name: Tiranga. Sandhu recently opened up about his debut film, and referred to it as a ‘gift from God’.

In conversation with News19 Showsha, Sandhu spoke of how he had no intentions of becoming an actor initially. He had decided to learn only enough acting he needed to act in his music videos, but had liked to act on screen as well.

He then went on to reveal that he had a dream of playing for the Indian cricket team in the Under 19 team. But unfortunately, he could not do so because of an injury he sustained. “So, I think, God kind of gave it (83) as a gift to me that If not in real life, I should fulfill my wish to play for the cricket team in reel life,”, he said.

The actor-singer went on to speak about his experience of working with Ranveer in the Kabir Khan directorial. Calling him a ‘great person’, Sandhu said that Ranveer was like a big brother to him, and spoke of how supportive Ranveer had been. Sandhu recalled how curious he was on the film sets, and how Ranveer had never shied away from answering the many questions Sandhu had.

Sandhu will next be seen sharing the screen with Parineeti Chopra in Code Name: Tiranga. The film also features Sharad Kelkar, Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Shishir Sharma, Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Deesh Mariwala and is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The espionage thriller is bankrolled under the banners of T-Series, Reliance Entertainment, and Film Hangar, will hit the silver screens on October 14.
