Harsh Roshan played the lead role in the series, which was backed by Sandeep Raj. Following the massive success of the first season, the makers have now decided to take the franchise to the next level.

AIR is back with its second part

We at OTTplay have learned that Season 2 will not be released as a web series but will instead arrive as a theatrical film. This decision was reportedly made considering Harsh Roshan’s growing popularity and the strong potential of the script penned by Joseph Chevveti.

The new film has been titled AIR 2nd Year, hinting that the story will continue in the same college backdrop. The first season revolved around the lives of three friends and their hostel experiences in Vijayawada. 

It skillfully blended comedy, romance, and caste-based politics, but it was the humor that resonated the most with viewers. With AIR 2nd year, the trio will continue their college journey while facing new challenges and conflicts, promising more fun and drama.

ETV announces back to back films

Interestingly, ETV Win has been actively converting its successful web properties into feature films. Recently, it was announced that the third season of Constable Kanakam would also release theatrically. 

Now, AIR joins the list. The shooting of AIR 2nd Year is currently halfway through, and the makers are expected to unveil the first-look teaser soon.

Meanwhile, Harsh Roshan is also gearing up for the release of his new film, Bench Life, which is slated to hit theatres on March 6, 2026. He has teamed up with Sridevi Appala of Court fame for this romantic drama set in Telangana. The film is backed by noted writer Kona Venkat, and its songs have already struck a chord with audiences.
