Harshvardhan Rane and Karan Veer Mehra to star in action-romantic drama | Know female leads and more details

A new action romantic drama is cooking, directed by Omung Kumar. Both Harshvardhan Rane and Karan Veer Mehra will star in the film. The actors shared a report claiming that the film is in progress. Film critic Taran Adarsh reported that director Omung Kumar is directing a film starring Harshvardhan Rane and Karan Veer Mehra. The film also stars Sadia Khateeb and Ipsitaa. The director, known for Mary Kom and Sarbjit, is making this romantic-action film; however, more details are still under wraps. The critic also mentioned that the title, first look, and more updates will be announced soon.

It is a Zee Studios presentation, a Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment production film in association with Innovations India. The film is produced by Omung Kumar, Umesh KR Bansal, Pragati Deshmukh, Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh, Abhishek Ankur, and Captain Rahul Bali, and it is co-produced by Rahhat Shah Kazmi.

Harshvardhan Rane refuses to work in Sanam Teri Kasam 2

Sanam Teri Kasam (2016) stars Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane. The film recently received its due love after it was re-released in 2025. However, Rane confirmed that he will not be working in the film's sequel if the previous cast returns. This came after Mawra's hateful comment against India's Operation Sindoor. 

Rejecting the sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam, Rane wrote, "While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand, and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of 'Sanam Teri Kasam' part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated."

On the other hand, Karan Veer Mehra lifted the Bigg Boss 18 trophy.
