Imtiaz Ali's much-anticipated next film, Chamkila, will feature Parineeti Chopra. This is the actor's first collaboration with the filmmaker, and reports say she won't be able to work in Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming film Animal due to major scheduling conflicts between the two productions.
A trade source informed ETimes that Parineeti is set to collaborate with Imtiaz Ali for the first time in her career as the heroine in the ace director's next, Chamkila. It's a watershed moment for her since she's always wanted to work with the visionary director on a creative level.
The source further said that the actor has to get into prep right away for the shoot, and regrettably, due to this development, she won't be able to shoot for Animal because the two films' release dates are so close together.
As a result, fans of RK and Pari will have to wait a little longer for a new project that will bring them together on film.
Given Imtiaz's tremendous cinematic ambitions, this is one Parineeti performance to keep an eye on.
Apart from that, Parineeti collaborated with Sooraj Barjatya on the film Uunchai. Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, Danny Denzongpa, and Sarika also star in the film.
The actor is currently busy judging the talent-based reality show, Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan, along with Mithun Chakraborty and Karan Johar. The show marks Parineeti's debut in the world of television.
The Ishaqzaade actor had three back-to-back releases in 2021, including the Netflix release, The Girl on the Train. She was then seen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar opposite Arjun Kapoor, and the film hit the big screens. Yet another release was Amole Gupte's Saina, in which she played the titular role of the ace badminton star Saina Nehwal.
