Has YRF signed Mohit Suri for a young love story? Here’s what we know

After having made films like Ek Villain, Aashiqui 2, Half Girlfriend and others, filmmaker Mohit Suri’s last offering on the silver screen was Ek Villain Returns, which starred John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. Despite all the hype and promotions, the film did not do well as per expected.

Mohit Suri signed up Yash Raj Films

The latest update on Mohit Suri is that he has been signed up by none other than the prestigious Yash Raj Films (YRF) to make a young love story. This will be the first film that will be produced by Akshaye Widhani, who happens to be the CEO of YRF.As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, it has been reported that YRF's ‘creative force’ Aditya Chopra will be empowering Akshaye Widhani and his team in building creative partnerships in Bollywood. The report stated that the whole thing will be overlooked by Akshaye Widhani, who happens to be the protégé of Aditya Chopra.

Film to be a young love story that's bound to touch hearts!

As per a source-based news report, it has been stated that, the said company will be producing a young love story, that will not fail to touch the hearts of the audience and that this germinates from the fact that, Mohit’s track record of delivering big hits in Bollywood. As for Aditya Chopra, he would be reportedly continuing to mentor and contribute to the scripts that YRF will be producing.

So far, the film, which has been untitled, is expected to go on floors later during this year. And as for the star cast of the film, it is being said that Yas Raj Films and film maker Mohit Suri will be announcing a totally fresh cast in the film. Besides the fact that the film is being directed by Mohit Suri and will be bankrolled by Yash Raj Films, no other details have been announced so far.
