'Have you seen us?': Deepika Padukone shares excitement about working with Hrithik Roshan in Fighter

In 2021, fans of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone couldn't stop calming themselves after the actors announced their first collaboration. The stars will be seen in Siddharth Anand's directorial Fighter, and the film is likely to hit the screens later this year or in 2023. During the promotion of Gehraiyaan, Deepika was quizzed about finally uniting with Hrithik after many years.

To which the actor quipped to Bollywood Hungama, stating, "Have you seen us?"

Deepika further shared her excitement, saying that she had always wanted to work with Hrithik. But she doesn't think it's simply about wanting to work with someone, as there are a lot of factors to consider, such as the right script, the right director, and the appropriate time in one's life. There are so many factors that influence one's decisions, so the actor feels this is the best moment for them to get together.

Earlier, in a statement, Siddharth had spoken about bringing Hrithik and Deepika together in his film. The filmmaker has said that bringing two of his favorite stars, Hrithik and Deepika, together for the first time in front of an Indian and worldwide audience is undoubtedly one of the most exhilarating moments of his life. He is ecstatic to be embarking on the journey with his home banner, MARFLIX, an Indian production studio committed to action filmmaking.

Meanwhile, Deepika will next be seen in Gehraiyaan, which is directed by Shakun Batra. The film also features Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles. Gehraiyaan is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 1, 2021.

On the other hand, Hrithik's next outing is Vikram Vedha, helmed by Pushkar-Gayathri. The Hindi remake of the Tamil film also features Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. The film is slated for release later this year.
