Marvel Studios knows how to promote their outings in the most unique way, and lo and behold, they succeed every time. To promote Hawkeye, Marvel has made it look like a holiday special series. In the new 30-second promo for the Jeremy Renner-starring series, Hailee Steinfeld, who plays the role of Kate Bishop, is seen persuading her mother Eleanor, played by Vera Farmiga, to let her go on a mission with him.
Bishop even tells her mom that Clint Barton and she are a team. However, the term 'team' is being used loosely here, as it's evident that Barton isn't overjoyed to have the self-proclaimed 'world's greatest archer' by his side. He calls it a bit of a stretch as being addressed as Bishop's partner.
In Hawkeye, he navigates New York City over the holidays. The series is set in post-blip NYC, where Barton, as Hawkeye, has a seemingly simple mission which is to return home for Christmas with his family.
He unwillingly links up with Bishop, who is a 22-year-old superb archer and his biggest admirer. They come together to unravel a criminal plot when a threat from his past appears.
Hawkeye also stars Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez in pivotal roles.
The series is directed by Bert & Bertie and directed by Rhys Thomas, while Jonathan Igla is the headwriter. Hawkeye will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on November 24, 2021.
Meanwhile, Jeremy made his MCU debut with an uncredited cameo in Thor. Soon after that, he played a major role in The Avengers. His other appearances as Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, are in movies, namely Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, and Avengers: Endgame.
