HBO Max shows are finally coming to India. The American streaming giant HBO Max owned by Warner Bros. Discovery has partnered with Prime Video to launch their exclusive as well as original shows in India. On today’s list, we take 10 HBO Max TV shows scheduled for an OTT release in India. Lets begin

The Staircase (12th July 2022)

The riveting true-crime mini-series stars Colin Firth in the lead. The Academy Award-winning British actor essays the role of Michael Peterson, a novelist who was convicted of murdering his wife. The series focuses on the various complexities surrounding the case and discusses the possibility of whether Peterson was in fact innocent.

The Sex Lives of College Girls - Season 1 & 2 (14th July 2022)

The comedy-drama series chronicles the lives of teenagers in their first year of college. The plot pivots around Kimberly, played by Pauline Chalamet, and her friends as they explore college life and their sex lives, often stumbling through hardships and struggles.

The Flight Attendant - Season 1 & 2 (18th July 2022)

Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco essays the role of a flight attendant who is notorious for her wild lifestyle which includes binge drinking and one-night stands. Her world is turned upside down when she wakes up in a hotel room in Bangkok with a hangover and a dead body in her room. This dark comedy is based on a book by Chris Bohjalian.Another of Cuoco’s hit shows, the R-rated animated black comedy Harley Quinn, is another HBO Max show that could soon debut in India. Cuoco essays the titular DC Comics anti-hero in this award-winning series.

Gossip Girl (21st July 2022)

The popular teen drama series ran for six seasons between 2007-2012 and has gained a partisan fanbase over the years. Narrated by Kristen Bell, the series features a star-studded ensemble of Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, along with Penn Badgley, popular for the hit Netflix series You, and Chace Crawford, who essays the role of the Deep in the hit TV series The Boys.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (21st July 2022)

The fourth TV series from the Pretty Little Liars franchise titled Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is an upcoming original series from HBO Max based on the series of novels by Sara Shepard. The plot revolves around a group of teenagers who receive strange and ambiguous messages from a mystery assailant who is simply known by the letter A.

And Just Like That... (28th July 2022)

The sequel to the global sensation Sex and the City is set 11 years after the sequel film Sex and the City 2. Titled And Just Like That…, the series features the original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and others reprising their roles in the comedy-drama.

DMZ (2nd August 2022)

Daredevil and Star Wars star Rosario Dawson plays the lead in this dystopian drama series. She essays the role of a New York City medic in search of her son and becomes the symbol of hope in Manhattan, a city overrun by the military.

Doom Patrol - Season 1, 2 & 3 (4th August 2022

)Based on the DC comic book series of the same name, Doom Patrol was a surprise hit when it was released on the DC Universe platform in 2019. It has since moved to HBO Max and is widely regarded as one of the most underrated TV shows of the last decade. It features a gang of misfits living in a mansion struggling to cope with their powers and their sanity. The series was praised for its character development, writing, and compelling narrative.

Peacemaker (14th August 2022)

The critically acclaimed DC Comics series starring John Cena as the titular character is set for its much-anticipated release in India. Helmed by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, the series is a spin-off to James Gunn’s 2021 black comedy action film The Suicide Squad.

Raised by Wolves - Season 1 & 2 (18th August 2022)

The last one on this list is the sci-fi drama series Raised by Wolves. The first two episodes of the series were helmed by legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott. The plot revolves around two androids named Mother and Father tasked with raising human children on a planet called Kepler-22b after Earth was destroyed by nuclear war. The androids soon learn the difficulties of managing a human colony as the humans cultivate new beliefs and religions, bringing them yet again to the cusp of war.
