Nothing like curling up in bed on the weekend to laze away and relish our favourite Hollywood classics from the '80s and '90s, featuring some of our most favourite stars of all time. So, should you have 'unwinding' on your mind, then we have got the perfect fix for you: here's the list of five classics ft. Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and many others that you could binge-watch and relive the good ol' times.

As Good As It Gets (1997)

James L. Brooks is probably best known across the globe for co-creating The Simpsons but his 1997 film As Good As It Gets has a cult following of its own. A wonderful Jack Nicholson plays Melvin Udall, a self-centred, utterly compulsive writer who is forced to shed all his inhibitions when he goes on a road trip with two unlikely companions. One of them is the waitress at the local diner, Carol (Helen Hunt), who is the only person able to tolerate his odd behaviour over the years and the second is his apartment neighbour, Simon Bishop, a gay artist. Both Nicolson and Hunt won Oscars for Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively, for their amazing performances.

There are many legions of fans of Tom Cruise, the action superstar, but the actor still has millions of admirers to his name who love to see in romance and drama. Cameron Crowe's 1996 classic Jerry Maguire sees Cruise at the top of his game as the impassioned eponymous sports agent who must find his bearings again after losing a plush job. Maguire's pursuits lead him to Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.), a disgruntled football player who seeks a better contract. The duo must put its differences aside and make things work, while Jerry Maguire also tackles the new relationship in his life, the one with single mother Dorothy (Renée Zellweger) and her young son Ray.

Philadelphia (1993)

Jonathan Demme's poignant take on the cultural ostracization of homosexuals is arguably one of the films to emerge from the 1990s. Perfectly accompanied by Tom Hanks' central performance of Andrew Beckett, an attorney who is fired from his job when his employers learn that he is gay and has had AIDS, Philadelphia ended up being both a critical and commercial success that won numerous Academy awards. Denzel Washington, who plays Beckett's personal attorney, too, delivered one of his finest performances to date.

The Breakfast Club (1985)

Few filmmakers could do a better job than John Hughes in capturing a tender yet utterly humourous side of American life. Although the writer-director has several gems to his name, his 1985 cult classic The Breakfast Club still remains one of the most endearing and relatable campus dramas to date. Hughes' film shows how five high-school students with starkly contrasting personalities overcome their differences and gradually, through their own will and desire, become close buddies - the charm of the film, though, is that it all unfolds when the five find themselves detained on a quiet Saturday.

Good Will Hunting (1997)

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck sprung a huge surprise on the world of cinema when they were awarded Best Original Screenplay at the 70th Academy Awards. The two, still in their '20s, derived experiences from their own lives growing up in South Boston to present the story of Will Hunting (Damon), a self-taught mathematics genius who works as a janitor at MIT. Hunting's life encounters a huge change when he meets Dr. Sean Maguire (Robin Williams) who challenges his defence mechanisms and helps him grow. Robin Williams won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Gus Van Sant's Good Will Hunting.
