One of the biggest aspects of his filmmaking is his music, the songs. Being a composer himself, the filmmaker has given Hindi cinema some of the most revered music albums. Now, as he makes his OTT debut with Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar on Netflix, the curiosity for the music album is as immense as the show. The reports that surfaced almost a year ago said the filmmaker is reuniting with Ismail Darbar after two decades to compose the songs for Heeramandi. The two last worked together on Devdas.

Now, as per the latest news that our birdies tell us, Heeramandi music album will consist of 6 to 7 songs in total, all visually opulent and rich. We have even heard that the filmmaker has invested a year in just making the music of his OTT debut show as the subject is too close to his heart. Considering his eye for perfection, the filmmaker has surely created an album that meets his standard of visual grandeur. The birdies even tell us that this will be the first show in the Indian digital space to have songs on such a grand scale.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The show is said to be a story set in the 70s in Heeramandi and will tell the tale of the courtesans who fought for themselves. The first look video that recently released captured the essence of the show and was a visual treat.

The filmmaker has created the show and has directed multiple episodes of the show. Meanwhile, SLB recently announced his next film titled Love And War starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. The show is all set to release this year on Netflix worldwide.
