Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is celebrating his 61st birthday today (February 24). The talented filmmaker has delivered several blockbusters in his over two-decades-long career. He is now readying for his OTT debut with the web series ‘Heeramandi.’ One can get a glimpse of just how loved the director is with the sweet wishes that his Heeramandi actresses shared on his birthday.

Heeramandi's leading ladies seem to share a warm bond with their director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. On his 61st birthday today, Richa Chadha, Maisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Sehgal penned special wishes for Bhansali. Each reflected on her work experience with the filmmaker, while also sharing throwback pictures from the set of Heeramandi.

Richa Chadha penned an adorable note in which she reflected upon the magnificent effect of working with the director. Embracing the character depths that Bhansali puts in each character, Richa praised her director in her own special way.

“I am a greedy actor and for me, each time I work with you, I emerge a better artist. You make me do things I didn’t believe were possible!,” Richa, who plays Lajjo in the period drama, posted on Instagram.

Manisha Koirala, who witnessed the director’s success with his directorial debut Khamoshi, in which she starred, called him “one of the greatest” of Indian cinema and shared warm birthday wishes with throwback pictures.

Actress Sharmin Segal, who is Bhansali’s niece, wished her uncle, calling him her "support system".
