For several reasons, Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 will be unique. After four years, the superstar makes a triumphant comeback to theatres with not one, not two, but three back-to-back big-budget films. Atlee Kumar's Jawan, Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, and Siddharth Anand's Pathaan are anticipated to restore SRK's unquestionable popularity at the box office, which has been negatively impacted by a series of box office duds like Fan, Jab Harry Met Sejal, and Zero.
Shah Rukh, however, is more enthusiastic about 2023 than he is about any of the upcoming films released in theatres throughout the following year. His eldest son, Aryan Khan, will begin his creative career with an OTT series next year, and his daughter Suhana Khan will make her Bollywood debut in Zoya Akhtar's version of The Archies for Netflix.
According to a report by Peeping Moon, Aryan is developing a web series that provides a close-up fictitious depiction of the Hindi film industry. Red Chillies Entertainment's in-house writing staff and Khan are working together to develop this unnamed series, which they hope to debut in 2023.
A source told the entertainment portal that Aryan is producing this Bollywood spoof alone; he will serve as the showrunner but may not necessarily be the director. It is a humorous, moving, and compelling tale that is set in the Mumbai film industry and is recounted by a budding young actor and his companions. Aryan has written a script that takes a lighthearted look at the ins and outs of film stardom. Having been a star child, he is well aware of all the specifics of how the film industry operates.
According to a source with direct knowledge of the project, it is a fictional tale based on the experiences of industry insiders and provides a glimpse into the day-to-day lives of actors as well as their struggles to maintain relationships and artistic fulfilment in the entertainment industry.
There is currently no streaming service associated with the show, which is currently being developed internally at RCE.
Aryan has always wanted to become a director rather than follow in his father's acting footsteps, and he is now making small moves in that direction. In addition to authoring the series, he is also assisting and monitoring his home production endeavours in order to study and comprehend the filmmaking process before moving behind the camera. He is anticipated to complete the series' script in two to three months and then turn his attention to other areas of development in order to begin production in the first quarter of 2023.
Following the NCB's approval, Aryan has thrown himself headfirst into his work to get things back on track. He is currently developing several scripts that he hopes to one day direct. For those who don't know, Aryan recently received his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film & TV Production from the University of Southern California.
