HERE's how Nayanthara reacted to Malavika Mohanan's comment on her look in a hospital scene

​It looks like Malavika Mohanan's comment on Nayanthara's look in a film has not really gone well with the Lady Superstar. And during a recent interaction with television host and actress Divyadarshini for the promotions of her latest outing Connect, Nayanthara responded to the same in a casual manner.

In an interview, Malavika Mohanan had referred to a scene that involved a popular leading star getting admitted to a hospital where her makeup, hair and everything was perfectly in place. She had also stated that how can one look so prim and proper in such a scene that too when her character is on the death bed. She also asked how a person can have everything perfect, right from her lipstick to eye-liner just before she is dying. Even if it is a commercial film, one has to be a tad realistic, she said. Though Malavika did not take Nayanthara's name, the Lady Superstar stated that the Master actress was referring to her.

Nayanthara reacted to the same in a conversation with Divyadarshini recently and said that she was part of a commercial film and she doesn't have to look shabby. Nayanthara, too, didn't refer to Malavika's name but said that the Thangalaan actress was indeed talking about her. Nayanthara stated that there is a difference between commercial potboilers and realistic cinema. She added that if she was part of realistic cinema, she wouldn't have bothered at all about the makeup. That particular look was for a commercial film and the director too wanted her to look that way in the scene. The clips of both the actresses talking about their perspectives have now gone viral on social media.

Nayanthara's horror thriller Connect, helmed by Ashwin Saravanan has just hit screens. The film is bankrolled by Vignesh Shivan and it has opened to mixed reviews. In the meantime, Malavika is currently shooting for Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, in which she will be seen opposite Vikram and Parvathy Thiruvothu. The film is set in the pre-independence era in the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Field.​
