Here's the captivating first look of Sumanth's relationship drama Malli Modalaindi

Actor Sumanth, last seen in the crime drama Kapatadhaari in February 2021, has been in the news recently regarding his marriage with a woman named Bhavani. Moreover, his wedding invitation went viral across social networking sites. However, audiences were in for a rude shock when they realised that the news was nothing but a promotional stunt for the actor's upcoming film titled Malli Modalaindi that revolves around a couple's marriage and subsequent divorce. The wedding invitation image shared by many in social media is reportedly a screen-grab from the film utilised by the makers to generate some curiosity. The actor even had to clarify the same in a tweet.

The first look of Malli Modalaindi, starring Sumanth and Naina Ganguly in the lead roles, was released on Friday. The captivating look comprises a collage of three images divided into love, life and divorce where the couple seems to be growing apart from each other with time. Debutant TG Keerthi Kumar directs the relationship drama which discusses the many complexities surrounding marriage and divorce. Produced by K Raja Shekhar Reddy, the film's crew includes composer Anup Rubens, cinematographer GRN Shiva and editor Pradeep E Ragav.

Malli Modalaindi has a solid supporting cast with heavyweights like Suhasini Manirathnam, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali. Moreover, actor-producer Manjula Ghattamaneni will make her on-screen comeback with the project. The film has already wrapped its shoot though the makers haven't decided about the release date yet. 

Sumanth's last major success was his romantic drama Malli Raava directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, while he also reprised the role of his grandfather ANR for the two-part NTR biopic NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Nayakudu. His last release Kapatadhaari is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. He's also part of another project titled Anaganaga Oka Rowdy.
