Comedian cum lead actor Sunil is continuing to reinvent himself as a performer in his second innings with a series of interesting choices. He and another comedian Dhanraj are playing the lead roles in Bujji Ila Raa, a soon-to-release pyschological thriller that features Chandini Tamilarasan as the leading lady. The film helmed by Garudavega Anji (also the cinematographer of the film) is scripted by popular filmmaker G Nageswara Reddy. Agraharam Nagi Reddy, Sanjeeva Reddy are producing the film under SNS Creations and G Nageswara Reddy Team Works.
Commemorating Krishnashtami, the character poster of Sunil as Mohammed Khayum was unveiled today by writer Kona Venkat. Sporting a white kurta with a taqiyah atop his head, Sunil looks at his intense best in his new avatar. Dhanraj plays a cop, CI Keshav Naidu, in this thriller, and the character's first look, launched by Sundeep Kishan a few days ago, opened to positive responses all over. Sai Kartheek scores the music for the film for which Bhanu and Nandu have written the dialogues. The supporting cast of the film comprises Posani Krishna Murali, Sathya Krishna, Venu, Bhoopal, Temper Vamsi to name a few.
Apart from Bujji Ila Raa, Sunil is also working on the Yandamuri Veerendranath-directorial Athadu Aame Priyudu (also co-starring former Bigg Boss winner Kaushik Manda), Anil Ravipudi's comic caper F3, Allu Arjun's rustic action thriller Pushpa. His last theatrical release was Kanabadutaledu. The actor has bagged a series of good comedy and character roles over the last two years in films like Chitralahari, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Disco Raja and Colour Photo. Among these, Colour Photo, that released directly on aha, where he played a menacing cop, proved to be a gamechanger for his career.
