Netflix released the first trailer for Outer Banks season 2 yesterday revealing that the show is set to officially return to our screens in July. Debuting last year, Outer Banks is an action-mystery series developed by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke. The teen drama is a great mix of romance, loveable characters and thrilling adventures, making it a binge-worthy watch for audiences and one of the best Netflix shows of 2020. As a result of its popularity, Netflix had renewed the show for a second season.
Outer Banks follows the journey of John B and his friends as they attempt to find $400 million hidden in gold while searching for his disappeared father. The group of friends comprises Kiara, Pope, JJ and Sarah Cameron. Followed by a trail of murder and chaos as its consequence, their journey becomes an adventure-filled roller coaster ride. The end of the first season saw a series of painful betrayals and deaths.
The first official teaser for Outer Banks season 2 reveals that JJ, Pope and Kiara still believe John B and Sarah to be dead. Carving a memorial for them on a tree, the trio reminisced their memories. The trailer then switches to a clip of John B and Sarah sitting together on a beach. The ending of the teaser revealed the release date for the new season as July 30, 2021.
Amidst the expected car chases and unforgettable adventure, the teaser promised further romantic chaos and seaside frolics.
