Here's when Sitaare Zameen Par will release; Aamir Khan makes big revelations about his entertaining film

A powerhouse performer, Aamir Khan is currently celebrating the success of his last production venture, Laapataa Ladies, directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao. Giving updates about another film of his that is eagerly awaited, Aamir has revealed that Sitaare Zameen Par is entertaining and will make audiences laugh as much as its prequel, Taare Zameen Par, made them cry.

Aamir Khan will be on set shooting for Sitaare Zameen Par on his birthday

On Tuesday, Aamir Khan went live on his production house's social media handle to interact with the fans. He spoke largely about Laapataa Ladies and Sitaare Zameen Par. During the session, Aamir also revealed that Sitaare Zameen Par will be released in theatres during Christmas 2024.

Drawing comparisons between Sitaare Zameen Par and its prequel, Taare Zameen Par, Aamir said, "The same amount that 'Taare Zameen Par' has made you cry, 'Sitaare Zameen Par' will make you laugh."

In the same Instagram live, when a follower asked about Aamir’s birthday plans on March 14, the actor said that he will be on set, shooting for his film.

Sitaare Zameen Par is an entertaining film

The actor also confirmed that Sitaara Zameen Par will be released in theatres during Christmas 2024 in an interview with TV9. He said, “My next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film; I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun.”

During the promotions of Laapataa Ladies, Aamir revealed that he started shooting for Sitaara Zameen Par on February 1 and that the film is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, but with different characters. “It is the next level of Taare Zameen Par; it is like part 2. It is not the same story and the characters are also not the same,” he said.

The actor added that the theme of his new film is the same, but unlike Taare Zameen Par, which left the audience in tears, Sitaare Zameen Par will have them laughing out loud. “Prasanna is directing it, and it is an entertaining film. We are looking at the same topic but with a different perspective.”

Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead. This is the first time that Aamir and Genelia are sharing screen space.
