It looks like Ajith fans are quite disappointed with producer Boney Kapoor. Boney Kapoor is bankrolling Ajith's next with H Vinoth, which is tentatively being referred to as AK61. There has been no update on the film for quite some time now and this has irked fans of the actor. They have even begun trending the hashtag #WakeUpBoneyKapoor along with a number of memes, asking for updates on the film. The film is said to be a heist thriller and Ajith has undergone a huge transformation for his character in the film.

In the meantime, Ajith seems to be on a bike tour to Ladakh, where he was recently spotted paying tribute to martyrs of the Kargil war at the Kargil War Memorial. Pictures of the same had surfaced on the internet. He was also seen posing with his fans. AK61's lead actress Manju Warrier, too, had recently joined them and had shared her excitement about her maiden bike ride. "Huge thanks to our Super Star Rider Ajith Kumar. AK Sir! Being an avid traveller, I’ve had the opportunity of travelling thousands of miles on four-wheelers. This is the first time I’m doing a tour on a two-wheeler (sic)," she had written. The duo had set off on the tour during a break from their schedule of AK61.

The next schedule is all set to begin soon and the shoot is likely to be wrapped up in a month's time. Earlier, Boney Kapoor had revealed that they were planning to release the film for Diwali, but it looks like the plan has been postponed. If the buzz is to be believed, Ajith's film is likely to hit screens for Pongal 2023. And if that happens, it will clash with Vijay's Varisu, which is also billed as a Pongal release. Ajith's previous release Valimai, too, didn't have regular updates and fans of the actor were upset about the same. Interestingly, Valimai, too, was bankrolled by Boney Kapoor and directed by H Vinoth.
