Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti, the lead actors of the upcoming season of the much-awaited web series Asur, recently spoke about what one can expect from the second season of the show. They also got candid about their journey while shooting for the show.

The trailer for Asur 2 was released on Friday, and it looks promising, with action, emotions, and a good dose of drama.

Arshad shared his excitement about the release of the show, calling it a "very special story" for him as an artist.

"The journey of Asura has been fabulous, personally and cinematically. It was overwhelming to see the love that came in for the show, and we as a team were as eager as the audience for the release of the second season," said the actor who plays Dhananjay Rajpoot in the series.

Sharing more about the new season and its storyline, the actor added, "The second installment of the show comes with a different set of expectations and pressure, but when something like this mounts up, it’s rewarding. The fandom has reignited."

Arshad added that the team cannot keep calm as everyone is waiting for the world to watch the show on which they have been working for quite some time.

"We can’t wait to see the reaction to its release," said Arshad.

Barun, who plays a pivotal role in the show, calls it an emotional awakening for him.

Barun said, "For me, Asur has been an emotional awakening. I owe it to this show to unravel so many facets of me as an individual and actor. It is also the love of the audience that has made Asur what it is today."

Asur 2 is directed by Oni Sen and also stars Ridhi Dogra, Anupriya Goenka, Amey Wagh, Meiyang Chang, and Gaurav Arora.

It will be available to stream on JioCinema starting June 1.
