Hey Jude release date: When and where to watch the Telugu version of the Nivin Pauly, Trisha Krishnan starrer on OTT

Hey Jude, helmed by popular filmmaker Shyamaprasad, is one of the more memorable films in the career of Nivin Pauly, who's cast in the title role, Jude, a socially awkward man in his 20s. The film marked the Malayalam debut of actress Trisha Krishnan. Written by Nirmal Sahadev and George Kanatt, the breezy coming of age tale captured the imagination of audiences and critics alike at the time of release in Malayalam. Now, the Telugu dubbed version of Hey Jude is set to release on aha on January 21.

The story essentially revolves around Jude, a supposed mathematical genius who is undone by his poor communication skills, whose life takes a turn for the better after he arrives at Goa along with his parents post his aunt's demise. What happens when he encounters Crystal, a musician, who also happens to be his tenant in the city? Siddique, Neena Kurup, Vijay Menon, Apoorva Bose and Aju Varghese essay supporting roles in the film.

Cinematographer Girish Gangadharan has cranked the camera for the film while it is edited by Karthik Jogesh. As many as four composers have worked on Hey Jude including Rahul Raj, Ouseppachan, M. Jayachandran and Gopi Sundar. The film earned Kerala State Awards in the best costume design (Elsa Sakhi), choreography (Prasanna Sujit) categories whereas Vijay Menon earned a special mention for his performance. The universal appeal of Hey Jude is likely to impress Telugu viewers post its release this week.
