Dulquer Salmaan is said to have recorded the exciting rap number "Achammillai" for his next Tamil flick, Hey Sinamika, in just an hour and a half. The actor worked with writer Madhan Karky to perfect his Tamil pronunciation before performing the song, after which he was ready to record.

Brinda Master, a first-time director, spoke to IANS about the recording, saying she knew she wanted Dulquer to sing this song from the beginning. But, while the actor is a fantastic vocalist, he has never sang in Tamil before, and the lyrics are a touch difficult, and the song's speed is really rapid. Thus, music composer Govind Vasantha and Brinda were a little concerned.

But Dulquer, on the other hand, easily consented to sing this song when they recommended it to him, revealed the ace choreographer. She also revealed that the actor managed to emanate the charisma and attitude that only professional rappers can muster, and he did so with ease. Brinda also said that Dulquer sang the song with zeal, putting his entire heart and soul into it.

The makers chose to release the song's lyrics video on Friday as a special present for all Dulquer lovers.

The film tells the story of a couple, played by Dulquer and Aditi Rao Hydari, who have had enough of their fussy, stay-at-home husband after five years of marriage and are planning to divorce.

Kajal Aggarwal also stars in the key role in Hey Sinamika, which marks the directorial debut of ace choreographer Brinda Master.

Hey Sinamika will be released in theatres on February 25, 2022. The film was supposed to be released on Valentine's Day, February 12, 2021, but it was postponed because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The film was intended to be released in July 2021, but it was once again postponed owing to production issues. The film's next release date was set for December 2021, but it was again postponed.
